Ορισμένες ανεπιθύμητες ενέργειες περιλαμβάνουν μερικές επιδράσεις της αρρενωπότητας όπως λιπαρό δέρμα, ακμή, ανάπτυξη τριχών σώματος και προσώπου, συνθήκες φαλάκρας στους άνδρες, ναυτία, έμετος, πόνος στο στομάχι, μείωση της όρεξης, πονοκέφαλος, αϋπνία και διάρροια, διάφορες εναλλαγές της διάθεσης. Σε μεγάλες ποσότητες, το φάρμακο είναι τοξικό για το ήπαρ και θα πρέπει να ακολουθείται από φάρμακα για την προστασία του ήπατος.
